Seems to me that Mr Spitzer in his zeal to punish a broker, has unleased a torrent of requests to insurers in general, the costs of which are borne by shareholders and ultimately policyholders. It just seems to this writer that the resources dedicated to satisfying inquiries of this nature, would better be used to pay loss, reduce premium or reward stakeholders, as these costs are net subtractions, adding nothing of value.
