Hey Bruce,
It's nice to see that someone trying to figure out how to make ATVs safer for the riders becuz the manufacturers just ketp making them bigger and faster!
I think that a roll over protecting system would make the ATVs more likely to roll over becuz of the added weight at a taller height which would make them top heavy. Also lots of people would think that it was safer to drive faster because of these bars. The other thing is that if the bike started to tip on a slope, the rider's first instinct is to put their hands on the bars to keep themself on, only making the bike quicker to rollover.
If you don't have your own property to ride these atv's on, then you shouldn't be allowed to buy one. The only way to make it safer for everyone is to have ATVs parks, where the public could go to and rent to ride under supervision. Only after a full safety course has been passed. NO MANAGE TRAIL SYSTEMS FOR THE PUBLIC.
