This is the reason it continues, they do get away with it and with no real penalty why not! I realize he has not collected the money for this particular incidence of fraud however, for the other times he lost his vision in that eye however it should have shown the judge there is a pattern here. Helloooooo. People go to jail for longer then him with larger fines for posession of a couple of joints, which is only harming themselves. He has robbed the insurance industry and possibly harmed others that perhaps were actually suffered from some horrific injury and actually need the money to pay for treatments or just to continue to live their life after a severe injury. I realize that I was not comparing apples to apples there but the point I was trying to make is people who are not committing fraud are receiving stiffer penalties for lesser crimes in my eyes. As long as this continues as with Marsh and the NY situation where the only real ones harmed were all the peons who had nothing to do with the bid rigging yet were the real workers who were laid off. Again no major penalty in that particular situation. Sure they had to pay out a fine but in the scope of what they took in a drop in the bucket. I dont understand why fraud does not have steeper penalties when the industry is in crisis due to all the major disasters of this decade.
