I'm not a conservative nor a liberal, just a small business owner that wonders why when politicians start talking about fixing social security none ever come up with the idea of doing away with the benefit package that they voted in for themselves. They neither draw from social security nor do they pay into it. However, we'd all love to have the retirement plan that they get. When they retire they continue to draw the same pay until they die. And after they die, their spouse continues to collect. The quickest way to "fix" social security is not privatization, etc, etc, etc, but to place all politicians on social security. Watch how fast things get fixed. Just a thought.
