Boy..... judging by these posting’s farmers is one dislike company. I believe Zurich purchased them as they were ripe for the picking. Their rating was slipping fast.
Then they started hiring a zillion agents from all walks of life, who could barely speck english let alone understand underwriting philosophy. And i would say they were never a proud company. Their proud of fear management. And as far as a whiner goes with this particular company, i must agree all of us truly “real live broker’s” who know and understand coverage issue’s would really love to see farmers go away. This company as created such a stigma in our industry it’s sad. If you mention the name farmers to any of the following companies boy do you get and ear ful. The Hartford, Travelers Safeco, Allied, Chubb, Financial Pacific, and Zurich ! too. Farmers has not earn “jack” they buy their way into a market or advertizing. The great companies are invited to bid on advertizing rights such as Nationwide ins, for golf.
