Here at the Pleasanton Service Center, we see the worst of the worst in Farmers District Managers. The post about the Russian appointments is accurate. Farmers hired these hacks to cut out the old long time producers, some of whom had well over 20 years watching this company's rapid decline. There are very few women agents who survive the threat tactics and unreasonable production requirements (who wants to buy a policy that costs several hundred dollars more than the nearest competitor?). It is true that our claims adjusters won a $40 million lawsuit from Farmers because they were not paid for overtime work as required by California law. This was a drop in the bucket when you consider that policyholders have to sue Farmers for fair settlement of medical costs. Farmers is not a company I would either insure my cars and home with. The working conditions are so bad that we have a large staff turnover. The people come here to get trained and then leave. Farmers was once a company who we were proud to work for. That was then. Last September, Consumer Reports said that Farmers, in California, was rated dead last. People don't care about fancy ads, when their insurance experience with Farmers has been horrific. No amount of advertising will help Farmers. They are rotting from the head down. As for the Russian District managers in our region, they are the worst. Patty
