And in order to maintain a fair playing ground where companies develop products, consumers buy and middle-market makers bumble-bee around, rules are laid down to keep mal-intents from screwing us good guys.
Guideline Principle - Your product doesn't give me what i want? Fine, I'll go somewhere else. BUT, when the merchants begin to play by rules don't reflect the fariness that consumers deserve, corrective action needs to be taken.
Prime example: repeal of the Glass-Steagel act by passage of Graham Leach Bliley. This broke down barriers in the financial industry that led to better pricing for consumers.
Corrective action is sometimes needed to maintain the free-market we deserve and crave... and that is exactly what we elect our goverment reps to do for us.
While travel- legislation has been already introduced federally and in NY/IL states, unfortunately it took a personal episode to push this agenda on another front.
