Something they didn't HAVE to do? What is the other option? Concealing it from authorities and their policyholdlers? As far as I'm concerned, if they had knowledge of the problem, and they didn't reveal it, it's a material misrepresentation.
If I were insured with St. Farm, I would move my business to a different carrier and use the opportunity to explain the concept of personal responsibility to my 6 year old. My guess is that he has a better grasp of right & wrong than what Mr. Fraser Engerman does.
