Yes - junk research par excellence. "findings of a study" is more than a casual observation. I really laugh at the description "predictive analytics company". What industry is that ? I've been in P&C for 34 years. Credit scoring and this type of "observation" or "study" nonsense is "reverse" research. These "experts" take something like "frequency of accidents" and then research backwards for a common thread and always find it. Just like "the vast majority of killers on death row ate mashed potatoes when they were age 13". Must be the mashed potatoes you think ? This is junk research. Now if a reputable research institute followed a sample of people for 20 years and then published their findings, I would lend credence to it. The research for credit scoring has never been released to the public. Ever wonder why not ? Did they follow any number of people for 10 or 15 or 20 years and then look at the data and scientifically prove a cause and effect ? Not to my knowledge or satisfaction and I have yet to have anyone provide me with an avenue to examine the credit scoring data. Liars!
I maintain credit scoring is legal redlining until the experts pony up the scientific proof and have it evaluated and confirmed by competent disinterested parties. I rest my case.
