In th P&C business for 34 years, what company are you working for? Is your statement based upon fact? It is these types of statements and illogical thinking of those individuals within this industry that has led to insolvency. A 'just becasue attitude' of those dinosaur insurance professionals is what a company like Progressive has fed from. The fear of change and innovation in a heavily regulated industry has led to its partial demise and threat of federal intervention.
Welcome to the 21st century of thinking and a thing called predictive analytics. I do not want to be paying the same high auto and homeowners insurance premiums as the ******* down the street that has 3 DUI's, has three rusty cars in his yard and encourages his kids to knock the **** out of the nieghbors' kids. Bet you that guy is really responsible with his finances.
Do a little research before you pop off; better yet, go ask your CEO what predictive modeling and GLM stands for. I hope you are not in a position to know less about these two things than him -- you'll be out of a job.
Good luck running your company into the ground with such unfound statements.
