The article was the one making a point that it was the party in charge that was making this a "blue"/"red" issue. Liberals have spent far too much money in history as well. That is why it is vastly important to not have a president seek unlimited powers and have a congress with balls to stand up to him. Checks and balances is one of the issues that was central to the founding of our government. Don't turn it into a personal attack against this "clown". All I know that is we have lost a lot of privacy. The government should not be in the business of regulating morality (gay marriage is one examples of making discrimination legal, which is anti-american.) Don't muddy up the issue, that fact remains is that the important legislation that is important to our business was held up by self serving pawns of a monarch.
