Amazing that so venerable an institution as Allstate could equate safe driving with having few accidents and not give at least a nod to population density. Sioux Falls has only 153 people per square mile. Fort Collins, CO has only 72. You really have to work hard to get into an accident there.

By comparison, Newark (rank 197) has nearly 1,500 people per square mile. Jersey City (rank 191), a very compact statistical area, has over 10,000 people per square mile. If you can go just a year in Jersey City without having an accident, you, my friend, are a very safe driver.
