I will be passing these statistics on to several family members who continue to think it is "OK" for our mother to drive short distances. All I can ever think, is what if it is one of my children she runs into. She is 74 years old and suffers from severe dementia. In the past month or so, she has drove the wrong way down a major highway and has backed into several other vehicles. Yet, no one in the family seems to think she is dangerous but me. I tend to think the situation is no wants to be bothered with transporting her as needed.
