Get the stupid people off the road - great idea.
Stupid people include those who drive without insurance! I sure don't want to get in an accident with someone with no insurance. Granted, my uninsured motorist coverage will take care of come of my expenses - but not all of them.
Responsible people think beyond the end of their noses - and uninsured motorists are thinking only of them selves.
Sure, some of the uninsured motorists are going to be more careful - because they know that they will get caught if they are in an accident. But too many of them just don't bother to get their insurance.
Hey - I know of folks who will go the insurance office, get insurance with the lowest downpayment they can get by with just to get their car registered and they have no intention of making any more payments.
I am glad that we have laws mandating auto insurance, too bad they don't mandate higher coverages. gotta keep the lawers with their cut of the lawsuits happy
