When I was younger, I was always surrounded by alcohol. I took my first drink when I was ten and I was always allowed to drink at family parties and at home. Pretty soon I was looked at drinking as normal and by the time I was in high school I knew my limits. By the time I hit college,I was no longer concerned about drinkin as much as possible. I think this is why most kids run into problems. Drinking is looked at as the forbidden fruit and so kids will do anything to try it. They drink is excess and rather then get in trouble by calling their parents, they risk their lives as well as your's by driving home. When I drank too much I knew I could call my parents and they would come get me without recourse. Teenagers are going to drink one way or another and I think it is the parents responsibilty to teach them about drinking and not punish them for asking for help.
