I'm a single working mother of 2 kids. I have to pay $220 a month just for medical, dental and vision. They raise deductibles, co-pays, the exclusion list and what is not covered keeps growing and now "tier" medicine. We are being nickled and dimed to death by our employers.
Sure it is easy for some 6 figure salaried employee to pay a mere $200 a month for his/her family, but what about the clerical employee barely making enough to keep their family's collective head above water. 10% of their take-home pay means the difference between groceries and health insurance.
My favorite excuse for all this: "we have a responsibility to our stock holders to reduce costs and increase profits...etc." on the backs and wallets of it's employees?
Ohh and while they are at it...take a few more holidays away. We're down to 6 now. Heck make us work on christmas too that should increase profits!
