This article comes on the tail of another one I read on thestate.com. That one outlines the insurance crisis HOA's are experiencing on the S. Carolina coast where premiums are reportedly going from $126,000 to $879,000! Conversely, Fitch Ratings project a net income for the industry even if insured catastrophe losses return to historic levels! This is why our industry garners a low opinion from the general population!
