And so the relatives of this crook get a pile of money that instead should go to Enron victims. How nice that Bush and company delayed action against Enron so long so Lay could live out the remaining many years of his life in freedom and relative prosperity (although he warned us sternly that you couldn't just turn his lifestyle off like a spigot.)" Pay back for those Bush campaigning flights in the Enron corporate jet with "Kenny boy."
Those thousands of us with ruined futures can only take comfort in Skilling's 24 years of slammer time. Let's see if he can buy some more justice--he might still wiggle free.
Oh, well, gotta go, late for my shift as a greeter at Walmart...at least they take on some seniors, part time, no benefits, near minimum wage..no fancy clothes needed, and I can pick up my $4 generic prescriptions...
