not relevant to this article. The ignorance on the part of homeowners that is so troubling is that they don't know anything about their policy, not even basics. If you queried ten underwriters or agents about whether or not flood, earthquake, vermin etc are covered on a basic policy in their state, they would all know. If agencies arent communicating basic information like that then they will lose their client base.
This is our work, our job, until we give it away. At that point we are no better than the order takers who brag they can do what we do, but obviously from this article don't do what we do. The money in this business, and thats why I'm here, is in servicing and maintaining a good book of business.
