I truly enjoy insurance brokers preaching their gospel...especially, since I was one! Does PIA even understand their position? Let's make something clear from an econometric position, Price should reflect the relative marginal cost of production! Brokers invoice heavily for large risk managed accounts and still receive a "bonus" on the back end for "risk management" services they failed to provide....Marsh, Aon, Willis, or any of the large regional players fail to provide REAL Risk Management....other than hiring a joe-blow to do a quasi-professional risk survey! Complain, complain, complain....the brokerage world is in need for heavy competition to bring the per unit cost down (possibly by way of Financial institutions entering the market) and/or REAL regulation. Too long has this industry been regulated by Captured agencies.
