What superficial fluff! This person does not have a clue - it is not about"quality controls" It is about the whole corrupt Chinese system of State capitalism. There is no respect (or laws )of a contract, there is no check and balance of a regulatory or legal system, and virtually no recourse for foreigners. Mattel has quality systems. But the Mattel supplier willingly and knowingly violated the contract and went out and bought cheap lead based paint to make a buck. Time to rethink the "risk premium" for outsourcing to China.
