Everybody needs to read "Licensed to Die" in this weeks edition of AUTOWEEK.It compares US driver training to other countries and talks about the dramatic results seen overseas.

For example, American's get a warning light that tells when our tires are underinflated. In other countries students learn how to check tire inflation themselves and why it is important. Scandanavian countries mandate teaching skid recovery while in the US we are afraid that students will rush out and throw their cars into skids on purpose for amusement.

In Denmark, traffic fatalities have been reduced over 30% in the last decade.

Please check out this article- it's a real eye opener and it supports what I have always preached about driver training in the US.
