I know most people take issue with this solution, there are many of who feel that something must be done. " ...sorry but there really is a simple answer: if you want to build a mansion in a flood or wind prone zone, make sure you think of everything, including, but not limited to, making sure you can AFFORD to insure it. If you can't, then you can't afford the whole package. But of course, the American way is to purchase homes we can't make the mortgage on either (q.v. the sub-prime mess) so why should anyone have to purchase homes that they can afford?
