Subject: Do polarized debates ever lead to compromise or resolution?
We know those are not true statements. Not even true to a majority of either side, yet we talk to each other as though we believe these things to be true. Why?
Why let the actions of one or two puffed up air-bags on the Hill speak for an entire group of people? Certainly we define ourselves better than that.
Have any of you ever had a conversation with another person where the two of you were steadfastly polarized on the issue; and reached a compromise or better understanding of the other side, even if you agreed to disagree?
