I made a benign comment about liberals and someone started hurling gay slurs, not exactly the sort of thing I would expect from 'progressives'. I went to middle school, high school and college in a liberal part of the country. I have come to know multiple people who live a gay lifestyle. I try to treat everyone the same regardless of race, color or creed. That includes sexual orientation.
I think most the gays I have met over the last 35 years have one thing in common - they have suffered indignities that people like me can only imagine. So, when somebody starts hurling gay slurs then its on. I know the purpose of such hurtful language, but again, it reflects more on those who should know better than it does on me. Praise Allah and your some sort of unique novelty. Praise God and your a right wing religious zealot. Wouldn't both God and Allah laugh their
a** off to witness such hypocrisy?
