Subject: "TRIA" not "TRIPRA"
The industry -- and the public -- knows the terrorism insurance backstop as TRIA. The most recent bill merely extends TRIA, the government's terrorism insurance backstop. What is important is to accurately describe the program itself -- not the title of the bill that extends it.
Our industry already has a problem with confusion due to its penchant for "acronym soup." Let's not add to it by revising acronyms to reflect extension vehicles to underlying programs.
