This is a real consideration when maybe you should concentrate on the weight or volume of space needed for basic necessities like food, water, fuel or other appropriate travel items for protection from the elements while getting to somewhere safer. Finally, in a disaster, do you really think someone won't harm you to get your pillowcase full of valuables?
