The fact that State Auto can stay this strong (A+ ??) is amazing to me. They are cutting a lot of bad deals, and spending a lot of cash in Illinois. And aren't they the clowns that bought Lake States or Meridian a few years back? Whichever it was, they were both poorly underwritten and cheap books of business. State Auto will be interesting to watch as they keep growing. I don't think that A+ is as strong is it looks.
