I have always believed that global warming is just a bunch of hooey being promoted by the media as the latest in it's series of global catastrophes that will end human life as we know it. As was said below, this is a normal weather pattern that has occurred many times before.
However, I do believe that we need to promote reducing our dependence on oil, foreign or domestic. If the global warming folks can make this happen, I am all for it.
