He's tried so hard to educate us all and he's done such a good job of leading by example, what with his environmentally-friendly and practical 28,000 sq ft home. And for all of you to just poo-poo all over his hard work. Why, he even invented the internet for the express purpose of warning us all about the dangers of global warming.
Pfft.
Did someone actually REALLY honestly truly think the rising rate of storm losses had squat to do with global warming? Good grief. I suppose dental premiums are affected by the tooth fairy?
Should we do what we can to take care of the planet? Absolutely! Car pool, recycle, don't leave lights on if you leave the room.
Temperatures and weather trends on this planet have gone through various cycles for millions of years. Can I get a "duh"?
But to suggest we can stop these cycles from happening? To suggest we have any impact on them whatsoever? That's ... a bit much.
This isn't a liberal thing... This is a MONEY thing. Follow the money and you'll find out that being "green" is just a new marketing tool for selling hybrids and solar panels. (And I'm willing to bet money there are some conservatives who are making a dime or two off the 'green' scheme, too.)
For the record, I lean liberal and I think Al Gore is full of it. Why people insist that all liberals think one way and all conservatives think another is beyond me. It's so easy to blow holes in that 'logic'. I'm amazed by how many folks continually insist it's true.
That's all.
Please continue with the regularly scheduled alarmist-extremist hysteria.
