Have you looked at interest rates lately? I haven't seen 17% mortgate rates since the 80's. Everyone is complaining about the economy because there is a presidential election upcoming, and the media wants to fan the flames of the overblown sub-prime mortgage "mess", and get liberal into the Oval Office. It's only a mess for those who got into loans they couldn't afford.
I have a sub-prime mortgage and couldn't be happier; adjustable rate and all. That's because I planned ahead and knew that with a 3.25% intrest rate, there was no where for it to go but up. Now it's back down to 4.25%. Time to lock in a fixed rate.
Also, I don't think you get an MBA from Harvard without being strong in economics.
