I agree with Mr.Auerbach that federal regulation didn't to much to prevent the subprime fiasco, while the states have been very effective in regulation the insurance business. So why delegate insurance regulation to the feds? PIA has been resisting this fed takeover, but what are the mutual and regional companies contributing to fight this clear threat to their very existence? It seems the fight is always carried by the agents associations not the companies.
