the trouble we are in could be significantly defused if oil were reasonably priced and we were not spending 10 billion a week to re arrange the rocks overseas! How long would we be in this crisis if oil were 50 a barrel and we had a financial surplus in the government coffer. Oh, and perhaps the dollar might be worth more than the peso and we might be able to show our faces overseas instead of feeling like we have a target on our backs.
