Greg - Your hatred of the Erie Insurance Group is astounding. Most people ignore what they detest. The more you post about Erie, the more you are showing you don't have a clue what you are talking about. For starters, Ludrof was forced out. If you followed the true history of the company, you'd know that. As to why Erie is hard to buy insurance from...they are a preferred auto/home insurance carrier. They want the best of the best. They consistently win high grades from every rating service in existence. Agreeing with Mr. Okay, there was a rough ride when Ludrof was at the helm. Even now, things are rapidly improving. Why this is improving is because Tom Hagen returned as Chairman of the Board...and among the most successful run in company history is when he ran the company before. I've been in the independent agency system for nearly 25 years, combining current with prior positions, I have represented at least 20 different insurance carriers. I can state there are a lot of good companies out there, and I can also state that Erie is one of the very best.
