You're missing the point here, Pud...the story is an analogy of the way our CURRENT system works, and is broken down into layman's terms so Joe Average can understand it.
I heard it on a relatively prominent REPUBLICAN radio show (Michael Smerconish), and sadly can't take the credit for writing it (and believe me, I'm F-A-R from wealthy).
Read it again: it's actually AGAINST raising taxes.
