If AIG did shut down it would be such a negative impact on this country and the industry.
If all those who are not involved with AIG think that other companies have not and are not doing those things that they have done then it is obvious that you know nothing about insurance.
One HUGE problem is that GREED has taken over this country. Deregulation is what caused this probelm to start. Why are credit defaults NOT regulated? GREED. Not only at the corporate level but also at all D.O.I. levels. It is sad how an industry that used be a band of brothers and sisters has become nothing but a pack of seperate rats all ready to over take what ever they can.
This ride is going to get much worse before it ever starts to get better. Tighten your seat belt.
Oh and I do NOT work for AIG. I'm one of those realy and I do mean really anoying "bean counters".
