Obama claims victory in obtaining an 80 billion "concession" from the pharmaceutical industry. A closer read reveals that the industry agreed to provide Name Brand Drugs (not cheaper generics!) at 50% off to medicare recipients who would otherwise purchase these drugs on their own. I suspect the seniors were buying generics, eh??? So, those new customers, along with the floods of new people coming onto the system, will provide large amounts of new customers for the industry.

How can he claim this "coup" when even the pharmaceutical industry claims this contribution won't cost them anything? It still remains to be seen, whom is going to pay for the new people coming into the system, because it evidently isn't going to be the drug companies.
