As an independent agent, we have been busier than ever with mostly our own costomers wanting us to shop and find them a lower price. Most threaten to go elsewhere, like to Allstate. We also have had a number of new calls for quotes on personal lines. Commercial lines not so much, but some are still shopping. I don't see a decline at all here in upstate NY. I wish it would because when we rewrite for a lower premium we keep the customer but get less in commision and it is a lot of extra work. Gotta go!!
