Wow, you must have it pretty good. How long to you think it will last? You take it too far in your oversimplification of the situation. I could not be hapier with my benefits and my current situation. But, to think my company will be able to just keep going along, providing me expensive benefits year after year is unrealistic at best and just plain stupid. The system needs work or those with no healthcare are going to drain me, you, and my company over time. I do not look to government to solve my problems. But sometimes Uncle Sam has to step in with the help of the Congress and Senate, who have benefits for the rest of their lives. There are many others out there in some pretty poor circumstances. Generalizing the "have nots" into one group with their hands out is unfair is going to get us all into the poor house my friend. Check out history? Ok, how about Social Security? SS has helped out a lot of people over the last 50 or so years. Are you going to deny your SS benefits when it is time to collect? Nobody will acuse you of having "your hand out" when the time comes.
