David,
Where did I say the SC Gov is a martyr, and what does that have to do with the Fed forcing anything on individuals and States?I do not believe the Fed has the right and authority to nationalize private industries - period. On top of that, they are doing it with borrowed money - ours. They are reaching FAR beyond the actions required to buffer our failed banking and securities industry; which, by the way, they were to have been regulating. Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid are good social programs, but they are not effecient, because government is not efficient. Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement rates do not cover the true costs of the services provided; those additional costs do not "go away", they simply go "somewhere else" - and that is to private insurers and private citizens. Private insurance rate increases exceed the cost of inflation, because private insurers are charged for non-reimbursed Medicare/Medicaid costs. This is the way government does things; they "do" because they "can". Finally, you asked that I/we "stop the hate, Bro..". When truth is defined as hate, we do have a problem..
