Subject: DUI MAP
DUI Map, please you are quoting the CDC/NHTSA when you claim "36 people die every day due to drunk drivers."
Again, laws are being passed against the DRIVERS yet you are claiming 13,000 FATALITIES. That is inflation sir.
Go to FARS and look up exactly how many DRIVERS were over .08 and involved in a multi vehicle crash or crash with a pedestrian. The number is 2,440 DRIVERS.
Lets stick with counts instead of the old percentage methodology shall we. It really show how nominal the DD problem is. Unless of course it's about raising money and creating a new class of criminal (1.6 million arrestees annually) that commits a crime with no victim. Sure, then I get it.
And Feel Good Laws, you are pretty much correct. If any poster here would bother to dig a little deeper into the FARS database, they would be amazed at the inflation coming out of the MADD run NHTSA.
