Mrs Q's bill is typical LA Politics. Once again I'm amazed at the fact that no one can take responsibility for their own actions. Non-Flood Zone homeowners CHOSE not to have Flood Insurance and since they rolled the dice and lost, someone else has to pay for their poor decision. Yes, a tragedy. But why should the rest of us in this State pay for their poor decisions. Then I ask, WHY does the NFIP limit the amount of Flood Coverage one can purchase, when 1000's are willing to pay the additional premium. But I'm sure Mrs Q will make economics and diversity a major issue with this just like everything else in South LA. Some things never change.
