I was an internal auditor at the old Texas Workers Compensation Commission (TWCC) just before it was taken over by the Texas Department of Insurance (DIR) in Sept. 2005.
At that time,I warned management that the TXCOMP webite software development process was way over budget, and likely involved with kick backs to software contractors including Price Waterhouse and IBM.
Was wondering if anyone has any scoop on what has happened to the TXCOMP website development project since my audit department was dissolved by DIR, and I left?
Just noticed that IBM and Price Waterhouse (since merged) have recently plead guilty to US Dept.of Justice charges stemming from an alleged federal contracing kickback scheme. See article below: http://www.washingtontechnology.com/online/1_1/31218-1.html
