Farmers claim managers set the example for their adjusters. Speaking from experience, they are absolute beasts. Handle claims business by looking for exclusions in the policy. I've known claims adjusters that approach a customers problem by looking to cover their claims...if no coverage, they let the customer know that they've left no stone unturned for coverage. Farmers claims adjusters have let the world know that they are not salespeople. In insurance, we are all salespeople...that's every department that makes up the industry. Farmers claims adjusters are adversarial that's why they have such an ugly rap. I knew a Farmers claims manager that drank himself to sleep every night.
