Subject: Economic effects
If you can GO you can go do that job and make money. You can sell or buy. If you have a product to sell it's not likely you can take it with you so well on a crowded bus. In addition you can do it now, not whenever some public transport finally comes your way.
Arlington Texas, by-the-way, with a 300,000 population has no bus or train service except for a handicap service. Got taxis if you can find one.
Got few homeless because if you can't buy a car you can't get anywhere from where you are unless you can walk good.
