Wait a minute - "insurance" is to blame for the exodus from the coast?

How about hurricanes? How about general global warming and increasing water levels? How about stupid development and destruction of wetlands? How about idiotic federal policies which reward people whose property is destroyed by floods by renewing the flood policies and make grants?

Or, how about the laws in the USA that allow shareholders to sue their directors when the companies don't make a profit?

It appears that the insurance industry is being made a scapegoat by people who are unable or unwilling to face the multitude of causes (including many of their own making), and then expect some sort of financial free ride. Disgusting and pathetic.
