2.) Anyone actually wonder about the actual cause of damage in this discussion? It sure is a funny that only the houses along the beaches got hit with tornados & not the houses 300 yds inland. Nearly every government publication talks about how destructive the STORM SURGE was, not the TORNADO DAMAGE.
3.) Don't forget that the plaintiff attorney hired the Weiss engineer directly. Do you think he was going to hire an engineer that said it was NOT wind? What did he get paid to write his report? He certainly could not be less suspect than the insurance engineer.
4.) How can an insurance company be in "bad faith" if they thought they didn't owe the money in the first place? Are you operating in "bad faith" if you pay $250 for your car repair, but the mechanic later says you owe him $300 and doesn't show any proof?
