Instead of appointing some figure-head or lawyer to being the Commissioner, they appointed Kim Holland. She used to be a claims person, and knows all the angles on how carriers are fleecing their members.

Now, if you have a large health claim, the health carrier is going back in and reviewing your application. If there is one i not dotted or t not crossed, they will RETROACTIVELY DENY benefits and cancel the policy. It is called a recission review and it is awful.

FL just whacked a carrier for doing this WITH NO EVIDENCE of any wrongdoing by the insured. They tried it on me until I called the insurance commissioner from my hospital bed.
