This is just another way that greedy nursing home owners have found to make themselves unaccountable for the poor care they provide. They've already split up their corporations so they can hide their profits in their real estate, management, or pharmaceutical companies. The fact is that the nursing care our loved ones receive in nursing homes is not determined by their doctor or nurse or nursing assistant. Their medical care is determined by some greedy business executive whose major concern is the company's bottom line. Their bonuses are not determined by the quality of care their facilities provide, but by the increasing profits they make each year. Everyone needs to be calling their state and U.S. representatives and insisting on change now! Over 90% of the money these nursing home corporations are paid come from Medicare and Medicaid programs. That is public money! Yours, mine, and every nursing home resident who can't find an aide to help them to the bathroom. And it is being drained by greedy health care corporation executives who are enjoying another day on the golf course while your mother or father is sitting in his/her own urine. Please find a way to show your outrage today. Thank you.
