After my wife and I had been a Garrett Insurance client over 16 years, imagine my shock learning that we had overpaid our home and car premium every year simply because we trusted Garrett Insurance to give us the lowest cost coverage for both.
in 2007 we overpaid Garrett a $1000 simply because they never ran home and auto rates with the same company.
Nor did they tell us our children, both straight A college scholarship winners, qualified for an auto premium discount untill we told them about it! This is even more shocking since the local owner served as president of the local scholarship committee where my daughter attends Schreiner College.
Either 1) we were intentionally overcharged by Garrett all those years or 2) Garrett was simply too lazy and unprofessional to run combined auto and home coverage to give us the lowest cost premiums.
Either way, trusting them was a mistake and trusting them cost us $1000 in 2007 alone.
